Head of Division; Sectoral Data Base Coordination
Mr Baragé LIMANE is the Principal Programme Officer, Sectoral Data Base Coordination. Born in 1955 in Niger Republic, Mr Baragé LIMANE holds Masters in Development Economics from University of Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), a Post-graduate Diploma in Economic Planning and Development with a specialization certificate as ‘’African Industrial Development Specialist’’ from the Dakar (Senegal) based UN Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP).
His career began in September 1980 which saw him occupy senior officer positions in Niamey, beginning as Head of service under the Director of Industry and Handcraft in the Republic of Niger after which he joined the ECOWAS Commission as Head of Industry Division from 1985 to 2003.
In 2004 he became the Principal Programme Officer, Sectoral Data Bases Coordination in the CCC with the specific mission to set up ‘’ a Consolidated data base for the sectors of Industry, Agriculture and Infrastructure to better exploit their synergies and opportunities’’.
The various activities initiated to set up the ECOBIZ system and ensure its effective use by the business community is geared towards achieving the assigned mission.
