Mr. Samuel Wale Ajala is the Principal Programme Officer at the Community Computer Centre of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission. As the Head of Technical Development Division, he directs studies, formulation and implementation of various Information Technology projects in ECOWAS Institutions and Member States. He contributed immensely in the formulation and adoption of the ECOWAS Supplementary Acts on e-transactions, Cybercrime and Personal Data Protection. He has a passion for uncovering suitable approaches to proffering solutions to IT problems by the use of basic underlying principles guiding the operations of the issue to be addressed.

His work in the Information Technology field spans close to 30 years. Trained as a physicist and Information Technology practitioner, he is a graduate of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and the University of Jos, Nigeria. He holds professional certification in various IT fields and membership of CFIN. He is a Nigerian and married with three children.
