The ECOWAS Commissioner for Telecoms and IT, Dr. Isaias Barreto da Rosa took part today in Abuja, in the Nigeria coalition meeting of the Alliance for Affordable Internet (A4AI). Several other dignitaries were also present, including the Nigerian Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu and the World Wide Web Foundation’s new President & CEO, Adrian Lovett.

This coalition brings together the key stakeholders to address the issues that might be hindering more affordable Internet prices. Commissioner Barreto da Rosa had the opportunity of addressing the participants on “Universal Service Funds as an enabler of digital inclusion in West Africa”
