Preparation for the 15th meeting of the ECOWAS Ministers in charge of Telecoms and IT
In preparation for the 15th meeting of the ECOWAS Ministers in charge of Telecoms and IT, we started this Monday, 2nd October 2017 in Praia, Cape Verde, the ECOWAS ICT experts meeting. The event will be concluded on Thursday, 5th October, while the Ministerial meeting will take place on Friday, 6th October.
Important topics will be addressed in these two meetings, including free regional roaming in West Africa, Universal Access and Services, ECOWAS cybersecurity agenda, etc.
The opening ceremony was presided by the Cape Verdean Minister of Economy and Employment, Dr. José Gonçalves. The Commissioner for Telecoms and IT, Dr. Isaias Barreto da Rosa delivered his welcome remarks on behalf of the ECOWAS Commission.
